It’s an unlikely musical partnership: renowned traditional English singer and songwriter, Jim Boyes, and Belgian master guitarist and composer, Maartin Decombel. But it’s already proving highly successful.

The two got together at the end of last year for Radio 2’s Ballad of the Great War to perform “Passchendaele” – a song by Jim commissioned to mark the centenary of the battle – and the collaboration has since matured into a full-scale association, leading to dates this summer at festivals in Flanders.
