Joe Topping

Joe Topping is a singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from the Wirral.

He has performed all over the UK and abroad, including live sessions on BBC Radio 2, ITV, a showcase at SXSW in Texas and gigs across Europe. Joe has shared the stage and played in the studio with many legends of the British folk scene, such as members of Fairport Convention, While and Matthews, and Andy Irvine. In addition, he has toured as stand-in lead vocalist for The Home Service, who won a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award for “Best Live Act”.

Joe was also a member of the legendary Ashley Hutchings’ Rainbow Chasers and is currently part of British Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Charlie Landsborough’s touring band.

Joe’s adventurous spirit has seen him live in a pickup truck for the best part of a year in North America and walk 1,400 miles from Chicago to New Orleans with a guitar on his back!

Some of the instruments Joe can bring to sessions are acoustic and electric guitars, dobro, mandolin, octave mandolin, electric baritone guitar, lap steel guitar, banjo, harmonica, bass guitar and, of course, vocals!
