Making their Costa del Folk debut in Ibiza next April are The Outside Track, a Pan Celtic group that performs Scots, Irish and Cape Breton songs and stepdance.

Hailing from Scotland, Ireland, and Cape Breton, its five members are united by a love of traditional music and a commitment to creating new music on this as a foundation. They blend fiddle, accordion, harp, guitar, flute, whistle, step-dance and vocals with breath-taking vitality.

Between them, the line-up of four women and a single man have won several awards, both individually and collectively. Winners of ‘Best Group’ in both the Live Ireland Music Awards and the Tradition In Review awards, they were also ‘Best Live Act’ nominees in the MG Alba Scots Traditional Music Awards.

Individually, Ailie Robertson has won a Live Ireland Music Award and was a BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician Finalist, and Fiona Black was a winner of the BBC’s Fame Academy.
